The College of Animal Welfare offers its veterinary nursing qualifications from a satellite centre based inside Sussex Equine Hospital in Ashington (near Horsham), with courses starting throughout the year.
Students who choose to study here will participate in Live Online learning, with weekly lessons held in our virtual classroom, and will visit the centre for approximately 10 practical training days throughout the programme. Find out more about how this programme works
Completion of the diploma will allow you to apply for professional registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
You can undertake the diplomas as standalone qualifications or train as an apprentice.

The College of Animal Welfare was established in 1989 by one of the leading animal welfare charities, Wood Green Animal Shelters in Cambridgeshire. Today, the college has eight centres across the UK and specialises in training in the land-based sector.
Set between Horsham and Worthing, the satellite centre in Ashington is located inside Sussex Equine Hospital. This makes the Horsham centre commutable by bus, car or train from many surrounding areas including: Brighton, Crawley, Storrington, Pulborough, Billingshurst, Chichester, Worthing, Haywards Health, Shoreham-by-Sea and Eastbourne.
