Missoula, the female puma cub was born in Berlin’s Tierpark zoo and is the first to be reared for 22 years.
The Puma (a.k.a: cougar, mountain lion, catamount or panther) is more closely related to the domestic cat than true lions. This elusive feline is mostly nocturnal and can have a territory spanning an area of 100 square miles (259 square kilometres)! Missoula will eventually darken and look more like her mum in a few months time.
