Please be aware the new A14 “Huntingdon Southern Bypass” will be opening on Monday 9th December.
This means a section of the old A14 road between junction 23 (Spittals Interchange, Huntingdon) and junction 24 (Godmanchester) will be closed for the foreseeable future.
If you travel to our centre in Godmanchester, please see the below details regarding travel to the centre.
Travelling from the East (Cambridge) to Godmanchester
You will still be able to travel west along the old A14 from Cambridge, exiting at junction 24 in Godmanchester, however you will no longer be able to continue towards Huntingdon, A14 West or A1 North via this route. Do not take the new A14 ‘Huntingdon Southern Bypass’, if you are expecting to come off at Wood Green as this junction only accepts traffic coming from the west.
Travelling from the West (Kettering) or the North (A1) to Godmanchester
Rather than continuing into Huntingdon, you now have a new option to travel west along the new A4 ‘Huntingdon Southern Bypass’, exiting onto the A1198 at Wood Green.
