If you loving being outdoors, are interested in the environment around you and are fascinated by wildlife and different habitats, why not turn your passion into a career with The College of Animal Welfare?
From this September, The College of Animal Welfare, situated in Chord Business Park in Godmanchester, will be running a one year, full-time, City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Countryside and Environment programme.
Alongside classroom learning, the programme incorporates a significant period of time on field visits and work placement where students will learn about woodland, grassland and wetland habitats, monitoring wildlife, promoting conservation and carrying out surveys.
This course could kick start your career as a warden, countryside ranger, ecologist or a wildlife management advisor; maybe working for one a local authority or large organisation such as the British Wildlife Trust, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) or the National Trust.
