National Apprenticeship Week is back for another year! We started out this week at the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair and we got to talk to so many people about apprenticeships. To keep the conversation going, we thought we’d round up some key resources on apprenticeships and why they’re a great option for further education!
What Apprenticeships do we offer at The College of Animal Welfare and the CAW Business School?
We believe that apprenticeships are a great way to learn; not only do you get to study and advance your knowledge, you also gain vital and invaluable work experience at the same time. That’s why we are continually advancing the range of apprenticeships we offer. At the moment, we have apprenticeships on the following subject areas:
- Veterinary Nursing and Equine Veterinary Nursing
- Animal Care and Welfare
- Veterinary Care Support
- Equine and Senior Equine Groom
- Dog Grooming
- Leadership and Management
- Customer Service
- Accounting
- Business Administration
Why choose an Apprenticeship?
We might be biased but apprenticeships are one of the best ways to continue your education. Wondering why? Keep reading to find out!
- You can study and get paid at the same time as you will earn an apprenticeship wage throughout your apprenticeship
- You will gain valuable work experience during your apprenticeship
- You will gain a recognised qualification once you’ve completed your course
- Plus, almost two thirds of apprentices are taken on by their employer at the end of their apprenticeship!
Why study at The College of Animal Welfare and the CAW Business School?
Experienced and qualified tutors
Not only are our tutors qualified teachers but they also possess academic qualifications, extensive experience and significant industry skills.
Flexible Study Options
We run various study options to choose from, depending on the course you study. These include online/distance learning, classroom taught lessons and blended learning, which is a combination of the two. We also have flexible start dates, with intakes beginning throughout the year and some courses able to start at any time.
Location and Facilities
Our centres in Huntingdon, Leeds and London, as well as our other centres around the country, have excellent transport links and main road access. They also boast modern classrooms and facilities meaning that no matter where in the UK you are, you have a great study location near you.
AAT Approved Exam Centre
For our CAW Business School students, there is no need to travel to an external exam centre as you will be able to take your exams at college!
Equality and Diversity
We take great pride in our Equal Opportunities policy and will not excluse any student from a course on grounds of age, sexual orientation, religion or belief, pregnancy, maternity, disability, gender reassignment or race.
