College 2021 re-opening Arrangements

Following the latest government advice The College of Animal Welfare Centre’s will re-open on January 4th  for vocational assessments only. 

Strict PPE and social distancing policies and procedures will continue to be applied.

Opportunities are in place for those students that are shielding or unable to come in to defer their assessments.  Please inform your course tutor if you are unable to attend a scheduled assessment.

Practical skills training sessions will restart from the week commencing 18th January. 

Online delivery for all theory sessions will continue as planned.

Grooming Students

Practical skills assessments for grooming students will commence from the 11th January 2021 as scheduled. 

Practical skills training sessions will recommence from the 18th January. 

Veterinary Nursing Practical Skills Assessments

Student Veterinary Nurses are permitted to come into their centre to complete their practical skills assessments from the 4th January as previously arranged.  Those students that are shielding or unable to come in may defer their assessments by informing their course tutor.

Veterinary Nurse Placements

Placements are scheduled to take place as arranged however any student or practice wishing to defer the placement clearly may choose to do so.  Students are required to inform both their course tutor and placement immediately should deferment be required.  

All students are encouraged to self-isolate for 7 days and/or get a COVID-19 test before returning or starting a new placement.
