On Wednesday 7 June, we had the amazing opportunity to welcome a group of 28 veterinary nursing students from Yuverta in the Netherlands to the CAW London campus. The event was organised to provide networking and collaboration opportunities to veterinary nursing students, with both CAW
and Yuverta taking part in presentations about veterinary nursing both in the UK and in the Netherlands. As well as developing relationships with like-minded students, attendees had the chance to share their views on veterinary nursing and showcase the work that veterinary nurses do in both countries.
The Yuverta team presentation touched on the increasing responsibilities of veterinary nurses in the Netherlands, the day-to-day structure of training and the clinics as well as the progression opportunities available to veterinary nurses in the Netherlands.
As part of the event, the students from Yuverta were able to take a campus tour to see the facilities at CAW London and also got the chance to try out the VR headsets and training tools developed by CAW and The Immersive Learning Factory.
We’re thrilled that we were able to be involved in such an exciting collaborative event and want to thank the students and staff from Yuverta, as well as our own students and staff, for taking part!
