BVNA welcomes Debbie Gray as Education Development Coordinator

The British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Debbie Gray (née Pearsall) BSc (Hons) RVN, Cert Ed MIfL MBVNA, as Education Development Coordinator.

Debbie will commence working at BVNA headquarters in Harlow on Tuesday 28 August and her role will encompass liaising with BVNA Council on the development of new initiatives for veterinary nursing CPD, overseeing existing projects and working alongside current Education Manager, Lisa Brett. Debbie has considerable experience in education having been employed as a BSc Veterinary Nursing Lecturer by The College of Animal Welfare and more recently a lecturer at Oaklands College in Hertfordshire.

Commenting on the appointment, BVNA President Claire Fraser said that “In this time of great change for the veterinary nurse, it is imperative that the BVNA provides its members, and other members of the veterinary nursing profession, access to a wider range of high quality and affordable CPD, to ensure professional development can continue. And so, by appointing Debbie Gray as our new Education Development Co-ordinator, she is able to bring her experience and knowledge to the BVNA, and help continue to raise the standards of CPD provision”.

Members will have the opportunity to meet Debbie at the forthcoming BVNA Congress in Telford held between Friday 5 and Sunday 7 October.
