The Vet Centre Ltd is a well-established veterinary practice caring for small animals, covering two sites this fully equipped and modernised practice strives to achieve the highest standard of veterinary care in Buckingham and Pottersbury, Towcester.

The successful candidate will be working alongside a team of qualified and student veterinary nurses to provide a high standard of care for clients and hospital patients. You will see an exciting and varied caseload and have the opportunity to continually develop your skills supporting the team in surgical, medical and emergency nursing.

  • Wage: £15,704 a year Minimum wage rates (opens in new tab)
  • Hours: The role is full time, based on 40 hours per week including. Shifts between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm.40 hours a week. There may be shift patterns that you will be required to follow. These may vary day to day or weekly.
  • Possible start date: Monday 7 April
  • Location: The Vet Centre Ltd, which is located at Maids Moreton, Buckingham MK18 1RE  & Pottersbury, Towcester NN127QN. You will mainly be based at Maids Moreton to begin with.

Essential qualifications

GCSE (grade A*-C or 9-4) in English Language, Mathematics, and Science. Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.

After this apprenticeship

Upon completing your apprenticeship, you will become a qualified Veterinary Care Assistant. The Vet Centre Ltd are looking for a long-term candidate to grow with the practice and potentially, continue and progress your career.  Within practice, progression is available and you will have the option to apply for roles across their full network of practices, as part of their commitment to internal mobility and career development for their people.
