As a family run independent veterinary practice,  Cockburn Vets pride themselves on providing excellent care for their patients and their owners in a happy and supportive work environment. They are looking for a dynamic team player to help them with their mission. The role includes ensuring there are clean beds, feeding and water bowls, and utensils available for in-patient care, helping to set up theatre for operations and to clean, pack and autoclave instruments ready for operations on the following day(s).

This position would suit someone who wishes to carry on to a veterinary nursing qualification.

The hours of work are Monday - Friday 11.30-19.00. On occasion (where cover is required for holidays/illness) these hours will be altered but will be during normal working hours 07.30-19.30. Saturday cover shifts between 08.00-13.00. This would be on an infrequent basis

You will be supported to achieve the Level 2 Animal Care and Welfare Assistant - Veterinary Care Support Apprenticeship, including Functional Skills in maths and English unless exempt.
