Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate dog groomer to join us at our brand-new dog grooming salon in the heart of beautiful Harrogate. The ideal candidate will possess a love of dogs and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. You will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet the needs of both the animals and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming tasks, including bathing, brushing, clipping, teeth brushing & styling dogs according to breed standards and customer preferences.
- Work with our assistant groomer to ensure the highest standards are met
- Be willing to teach and educate in grooming techniques and standards.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all animals during grooming procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's grooming needs and any concerns observed during appointments.
- Handle animals with care, ensuring they are calm and comfortable throughout the grooming process.
- Assist in lifting larger pets as needed, demonstrating strength and capability in heavy lifting tasks.
- Stay updated on grooming techniques and trends to provide the best service possible.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in dog grooming
- First Aid Certificate
