Student Veterinary Nurses Go Back in Time!

Students in RANA UniformOn Thursday 11 December, third year veterinary nursing students from The College of Animal Welfare’s Potters Bar centre dressed up as RANAs (Registered Animal Nursing Auxiliaries) for the day to mark the end of their programme and to celebrate the College’s Jubilee Anniversary.

The students were inspired to do this when they studied the veterinary nursing timeline during the preparing for professional registration unit, in their final year.

The class enjoyed undertaking the research and made the costumes themselves, as some of the accessories are no longer available to buy! The nurses’ cuffs were particularly difficult to come by and were kindly made by Cat Greenough, a full-time second year student.

The College would like to thank the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) for kindly sponsoring the event and providing guidance on the style of uniform required.
