Friday 1st November 2019 was a fantastic evening full of sparkle and entertainment as The College of Animal Welfare hosted a black-tie charity ball in aid of the Get Jo Walking Rehabilitation Fund.
Jo is currently trying to rebuild her life after suffering a spinal infarction (more commonly known as a spinal stroke), which has left her paralysed from the waist down and the funds raised will allow her to build upon her specialised neurological rehabilitation at Neurokinex in Gatwick.
The evening provided an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for this worthy cause. Party goers enjoyed a welcome drinks reception and a delicious three-course meal. This was followed by incredible entertainment with the opportunity to dance the night away to live music performed by Motown Gold.
Throughout the evening there was a raffle and live auction with some unique items on offer including Golf at Goodwood for 4 people, a weekend stay in the delightful Yorkshire Dales and many equine themed opportunities such as a 2-day riding course, stallion covering and a day as an event horse owner.
Both Jo and The College of Animal Welfare would like to offer a huge thank you to all that attended the event and helped to make it possible, including print sponsors Prontaprint and the table decoration sponsor, Beacon Wealth Group.
The online auction is to continue until midnight, 30th November 2019 so there is still time to view the lots on offer and bag yourself a great item whilst knowing you are contributing towards these much needed funds – visit the online auction to get bidding now!
